PRESS RELEASE FOR WEEK ENDING APRIL 27, 2009

April 22 8:26 pm

Police were called to Boyd's Pharmacy for a shoplifter in custody by store personnel.

Upon their arrival employees turned over Ronald Polasky Jr. or Bordentown City to

police along with two bottles of Listerine, one open and half drank and the other

unopened.. The 40 year old man was charged with shoplifting and given a court date in

Municipal Court for later this month and released.

April 24 10:30 pm

Police received a report of a male at the train station possibly smoking a crack-cocaine

pipe. Police responded to the train station and subsequently arrested 48 year old Collis L.

Brown of Trenton for possession of CDS paraphernalia, cocaine (six packets) and

marijuana.. Mr. Brown was unable to post $2,500.00 bail and was committed to the

Burlington County Jail pending a court date later this month.

April 26 11:00 pm

While on patrol Ptl. Vincent Bernotas noticed a vehicle parked in the drive-way ofthe

McFarland School. In checking the vehicle a female was found slumped over the wheel.

Medics and squad were dispatched. Found on the front seat next to the victim were a

large amount of different colored pulls and marijuana. The victim refused medical

attention and was arrested and charged with possession of a scheduled II, III or IV

narcotic, possession of CDS marijuana -50 grams, drug paraphernalia and intent to

distribute a scheduled narcotic with 1,000' of school zone. Released on $2,500.00 bail

was 22 year old Christine Warner of Bordentown Twp.

TWO SUBJECTS WERE ARRESTED SHORTL Y AFTER A BORDENTOWN CITY

RESIDENT, 28 YEAR OLD BRIAN JOHNSON WAS ROBBED AT GUN POINT

WHEN USING THE ATM MACHINE AT THE BENIFICIAL BANK LOCATED ON

FARNSWORTH AVE.

ACCORDING TO CHIEF SIMMONS, CITY POLICE RECEIVED A 911 DISTRESS

CALL REPORTING A BLACK MALE ARMED WITH A HANDGUN ROBBED MR

JOHNSON AFTER HE COMPLETED HIS MONEY TRANSACTION. THE BLACK

MALE SUSPECT, LATER IDEN'"TIFIED AS 30 YEAR OLD TERRANCE

HIGHTOWER OF DELANO FLORIDA, APPROACHED MR JOHNSON AT THE

ATM AND POINTED THE HANDGUN, (357 S&W) AT HIS CHEST DEMANDING

HIS MONEY. MR JOHNSON GAVE THE SUSPECT THE $100.00 HE JUST

WITHDREW FROM THE ATM. THE SUSPECT THEN WALKED AWAY IN A

SOUTERN DIRESTION, ON FARNSWORTH AVE DUCKING BEHIND THE

ASHES TO ASHES BUSINESS.

UPON POLICE ARRIV AL, A DESCRIPTION OF THE BIM SUSPECT WAS

PROVIDED AND A SEARCH OF CITY STREETS FOR THE SUSPECT

COMMENCED. BORDENTOWN TWP POLICE WERE ALSO CALLED TO ASSIST

FOR THE SEARCH OF THE ROBBERY SUSPECT.

DURING A CITY STREET BY STREET SEARCH, BORDENTOWN TWP POLICE

OBSERVED A BIM OPERATING A WHITE IN COLOR BUICK BEARING A

FLORIDA REGISTRATION, (LICENSE PLATE) WITH A WHITE FEMALE

PASSENGER STOPPED AT THE RT 130 & FARNSWORTH AVE LIGHT. THE BIM

FIT THE DESCRIPTION OF THE FLEEING SUSPECT IN A VEHICLE DEPICTING

A FLORIDA REGISTRATION AND GIVEN THE TIMEFRAME OF THE INCIDENT,

TOWNSHIP OFFICERS CONDUCTED A MOTOR VEHICLE STOP AT THE ROMA

BANK ON RT l30 NORTH ADJACENT CROSSWICKS RD .. UPON THE STOP,

OFFICERS OBSERVED A HANDGUN IN PLAIN VIEW BETWEEN THE FRONT

DRIVER AND PASSENGER SEATS. AS THEY WERE AFFECTING THE ARREST

OF THE BIM SUSPECT, (HIGHTOWER) HE BROKE FREE AND FLED ON FOOT

HOWEVER WAS APPREHENDED SOON AFTER 200 YARDS AWAY FROM THE

CAR STOP. THE FEMALE WAS IMMEDIATELY TAKEN INTO CUSTODY

WITHOUT INCIDENT. SHE WAS IDENTIFIED AS 25 YEAR OLD STACI ELLIS OF

DAYTONA FLORIDA. THE RECOVERED 357 HANDGUN WAS FULLY LOADED

WITH ONE SPENT SHELL CASING. ALSO RECOVERED WAS $60.00 OF THE

$100.00 CASH. THE SUSPECT MAY HAVE EATEN $40.00, (2-20'S) BECAUSE IT

APPEARED THAT HIGHTOWER HAD CHEWED UP THE ATM SLIP TAKEN

FROM THE VICTIM DURING THE ROBBERYAND THE MONEY AND ATM SLIP

WERE WET AND CRUMPLED UP OR THE $40.00 BECAME LOST DURING THE

FOOT CHASE. IN ADDITION THE INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT THE

TWO SUBJECTS, (HIGHTOWER & ELLIS) ARE ALSO WANTED IN THE STATE

OF FLORIDA FOR ELUDING POLICE. POLICE RECOVERED FROM WITHING

THE VEHCILE, 2-PERSONAL FEMALE IDENTIFICATIONS NOT BELONGING TO

THE SUSPECTS. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATING, LEARNED THAT ONE OF

THE FOUND ID'S WAS A VICTIM FROM A ARMED ROBBERY IN NORTH

CAROLINA. AUTHORITIES HAVE BEEN ALERTED AS TO THE

APPREHENTION OF THE SUBECTS. THIS INVESTIGATION IS ON-GOING,

ATTEMPTING TO LOCATE OTHER CIME VICTIMS. HIGHTOWER WAS

LODGED IN BC] ON DEFAUL T OF $75,000.00 FULL CASH BAIL AND ELLIS

WAS LODGED IN DEFAULT OF $25,000.00 FULL CASH BAIL.
