Bordentown City Boat Ramp

No one shall be permitted to use the boat ramp or designated trailer parking area without applying for and obtaining a permit from Bordentown City, at the Municipal Office located at 324 Farnsworth Avenue in the City of Bordentown.  Applicants for a permit must provide proof of a valid registration for the boat and trailer, if applicable.  If a trailer is to be used, the permit decal will be assigned and affixed to both the boat and the trailer (on the front left side of each)*.  If a trailer will not be used, then the permit decal will be assigned and affixed only to the boat.  The issuance or denial of a permit shall be at the city's sole discretion.

Permits shall entitle the holder to use the boat ramp and designated trailer parking area and shall be required between April 1 and November 1.  The ramp and parking area shall be closed to all boats and vehicles between the hours of 2:00 am and 6:00 am.

Season and Daily permits may be obtained from the City beach master at the gazebo near the ramp, or at the Bordentown City Police Station.

Any individual caught using the boat ramp or occupying the parking area without first obtaining a permit shall be subject to a fine of not less than $100.00 nor more than $500.00 and/or a period of imprisonment not to exceed 30 days and/or a period of community service not to exceed 200 hours, or any combination thereof for a first offense.  For a second or subsequent offense, a violator shall be subject to a fine of not less than $250.00 nor more than $1,000.00 and/or a period of imprisonment not to exceed 60 days and/or a period of community service not to exceed 60 hours or any combination thereof.

*Daily permits shall be displayed on the driver side dash of the vehicle used to tow the boat while the vehicle is parked at the City Beach.

FEE SCHEDULE

Local Resident: 

Any person owning a valid New jersey Driver's License that lists upon it the applicant's name and address located within the municipal boundaries of those municipalities participating in the Community Education Recreation Program Agreement, dated July 1, 1982, which now includes Bordentown City and Bordentown Township.

Any person primarily employed by Bordentown City or Bordentown Township.

Any member of the Bordentown Yacht Club or Yapewi Aquatic Club.

Any taxpayer of the City of Bordentown.

Pricing for Local Resident also extends to any active military persons and Federal, State, and Municipal Law Enforcement Officers.

Local Resident Fee:

Annual Fee - $35.00
Daily Fee - $5.00

New Jersey State Resident:

Any person owning a valid New Jersey Driver's License which lists upon it the applicant's name and address located within the state of New Jersey.

New Jersey State Resident Fee:

Annual Fee - $125.00
Daily Fee - $10.00

All other applicants that are neither local residents or New Jersey residents as defined above.
