The City of Bordentown is committed to ensuring that all residential and commercial structures within its jurisdiction are in compliance with state and local laws and regulations in order to protect the safety and welfare of everyone who inhabits them.
That begins with ensuring that any new construction or changes to a property obtain all necessary residential zoning approvals or commercial zoning approvals. If you are unsure whether any construction or improvements you have planned require zoning approval, please contact Jennifer Smith below.
It is also imperative that every dwelling receives the required Certificate of Occupancy Approval upon completion of new construction or when a property changes ownership.
Landlord Registration is mandatory and important to ensure compliance with state and local laws and in the event of emergencies.
Vacant Property Registration is also required by local law to effectuate the same.
Anyone with concerns or complaints about the health, safety, or general welfare of a property should fill out the Property Complaint Form and return it to the Office of Housing & Code Enforcement.
