P/T Housing Inspector
BORDENTOWN CITY (Burlington County) is looking for a part-time Housing Inspector with a thorough knowledge and strong understanding of state, county and local building codes. Duties will include home and apartment inspections related to change in ownership and tenancy on an as needed basis and will vary based on the type of home or apartment dwelling. Qualified individuals should be able to converse with residents and property owners in a helpful and respectful manner and be able to work closely with the local planning/zoning board secretary. Compensation and work schedule are negotiable.

Licensed Water Superintendent-Operator
BORDENTOWN CITY (Burlington County) is looking for qualified candidates for the position of Water Superintendent-Licensed Operator of Record. The City of Bordentown is a small community in Burlington County with approximately 6,000 service connections and is responsible for the production source wells, distribution, storage and iron, manganese, radium removal treatment plant of 4.0 MGD water from within the City, Township of Bordentown and portions of the Borough of Fieldsboro.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and possess a current and active NJ-W3 and NJ-T3 Operator’s License (NJ-W4 and T4 a plus). Applicant shall be capable of adherence/compliance with safety requirements and expectations. Selected individual must be capable of working in a self-directed environment with little supervision. He/she shall demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills to interface with and motivate personnel assigned to assist with system operations. Candidate shall possess basic mechanical and electrical trouble shooting skills; possess a valid NJ driver’s license; CDL endorsement a plus. The selected candidate shall agree to attend monthly City of Bordentown government meetings to report upon the status of the water system and the ability to positively interact with public is a must!
The City of Bordentown does require drug and alcohol screening as well as a criminal background check.
